Ken Kawamoto, who is software engineer by profession, is a gadget inventor too and he carries out his inventions during his so-called off time. His passion, in his own language, is to “break the barrier between the digital world and the real world”.
In the case of his latest invention, at least, he is successful in achieving his objectives. Tempescope is a cure little box that is able to create real raindrops and clouds. His device is also capable of simulating sunlight and lightning. According to your choice, it can either show you real-time weather or predict the weather for tomorrow.
The device fetches the weather forecast data and information from the weather program of your choice. Though, it can create most of the weather conditions but, it cannot produce snow right now. May be, it will be able to do that in future.
Kawamoto has released the detailed source codes and schematics on open source and if you are technology savvy, you will be make the device on your own. But, the rest of us, should not be disheartened, as he is supposed to launch a crowdfunding campaign very soon.
