Throwback: When Ranbir Kapoor revealed how he feels when people call him a Casanova and cheater!
Ranbir Kapoor is now a responsible husband and a father of a beautiful little girl Raha. He has come a long way when it comes to his personal life. At 40, he is more mature, settled and evolved than what he was at 25. And this is what happens with most men. They start maturing quite late. Ranbir Kapoor – the son of yesteryear actors late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor was welcomed with open arms when he debuted in Hindi movies. Though his debut movie ‘Sawariya’ was not a hit, he still got favourable response from people. Slowly and steadily he proved his mettle and now people know what he is capable of.

One thing that all actors or celebrities have to face is the scrutiny of their personal lives. Ranbir has never been an exception. Or you can say, he was the favourite of gossip mongers. Before settling down with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir had a string of affairs and that too with some of the most beautiful women of the Hindi Film Industry, the most popular ones being Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. He was still going out with Deepika when he started having an affair with Katrina Kaif while shooting for the film ‘Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahani’. This was a shocker for many. But he did not stop at that. He did not settle down with Katrina too. Both these leading ladies had given years to their relationship with Ranbir but he broke off in a blink of an eye.

A lot was said about him, his Casanova attitude, his habit of cheating and his lack of commitment. Sonam and Deepika’s explosive episode on ‘Koffee with Karan’ was a big proof about how Ranbir was in real life. When Ranbir was asked how he felt about being called a Casanova and a cheater, he replied : “There’s so much spoken to me. I became the poster boy of a Casanova of someone you know.. of a cheater. People have heard somebody’s perspectives, people have heard somebody’s point of view and they haven’t heard mine. I don’t think they will ever hear it also and it’s fine. I am here to do my job and I am here to be an actor and that’s all I want to do. I don’t want anything else to do in my life. It really doesn’t bother me if somebody bitches about me or if anyone says anything bad about me. It doesn’t boil my blood.” Now that is a good attitude to ensure peace of mind. He is here for acting and not answering people’s prejudices against him. And now that he has a family, he really does not need to say anything about his character!
