Shahid finally breaks his silence about his leaked kissing MMS with Kareena!
For those who are unaware, Shahid and Kareena dated for several years in the early 2000s and even collaborated on multiple projects, including the wildly successful Jab We Met. But then they parted ways due to some personal differences and moved on in life after marrying their current spouses. This is to note that while Shahid and Kareena were dating and Shahid was just a newbie, one of their MMS was leaked on the internet where they were seen haring a passionate kiss in a club. Recently Shahid opened up about this incident.

He voiced his displeasure over the invasion of his privacy and the sense of helplessness he felt in attempting to shield himself from the public’s gaze after the leaked photos became public and reached every cell phone. Shahid characterised the incident as taking place during a turbulent time in his life when he was attempting to manage his emotions, comprehend relationships, and face the difficulties of being a budding actor. So he already had a lot on his plate and then came this scandalous episode which made him really vulnerable. The interviewer even went out to tell Shahid that those who had taken the video were paid Rs. 500 for the said video.

Talking about the incident and how he moved on from this scandalous invasion of privacy, he emphasised that celebrities are more aware of and ready for such violations of privacy in the modern digital age. They are now more risk-aware and circumspect as a result of the experience. Shahid continued, “The public’s interest in my personal life has changed as a result of my current marital status and becoming a father, and I no longer face the same level of scrutiny as I did in my early twenties.” He made the amusing observation that younger celebrities are now available for the public and media to focus on.
