Riteish Deshmukh’s first film as director is a blockbuster! Gets immense love of audiences!
Riteish Deshmukh is known for his excellent comic timing and acting. He was always typecast in comic roles but he broke that image with his hit film ‘Ek Villain’. People got to know a new facet of his acting and they loved him. Riteish who is a Marathi by birth, ventured into Marathi cinema a few years ago. His Marathi film ‘Lay Bhaari’ released in 2014 became a massive hit. Since then, he started giving attention to Marathi cinema too because it is after all his mother tongue. When Riteish decided to don the director’s hat, he wanted to do it with a Marathi film. He found his first film in the form of a Telugu film ‘Majili’. Riteish decided to remake this film in Marathi and his decision turned out to be pretty good.
The Marathi remake of the film was named ‘Ved’ and it starred Riteish and Genelia in pivotal roles. The film is making great waves in Maharashtra and the audiences are just loving it. The cinema halls are running to their full capacity and the film is going stronger by the day.

According to trade analysts, the film may well over surpass the lifetime earnings of ‘Sairaat’ – the most successful Marathi film so far. The success of the film came at a time when the Marathi film industry has been struggling after the two year long Covid hiatus. The film’s story revolves around Satya (played by Riteish) and Shravani (played by Genelia). The two people who get married under unusual circumstances finally find love in an unusual way.
The terrific performances by the cast, Riteish’s direction and the beautiful music of the film has made the Marathi audiences fall in love with the film. Made on a budget of 15 crores, the film has already crossed the 33 crore mark and is set to touch the 50 crore mark very soon. This comes as a big respite for the Marathi Film Industry and a big success for Ritiesh too. In some areas, Ved is even outperforming Avatar: Ways of Water! Such is the love for the film. Well we hope Ritiesh finds super success in his field because not only is he a good actor but a good human being too!
