Janhavi shares her mom Sridevi’s favourite home remedies for healthy hair and glowing skin!
Janhavi Kapoor is slowly and steadily getting a foothold in the film industry. Earlier she was dismissed as just another nepo kid but with her interesting choice of roles and her dedication, she has managed to turn around the verdict in her favour. With films like ‘Dhadak’, ‘Gunjan Saxena’ ‘Good Luck Jerry’ ‘Roohi’ ‘Mili’ etc. Janhavi has managed to prove that she is here to stay. A lot of times she has been compared to her mother when it comes to looks. She just feels happy about that and reveals that her mother late Sridevi was very particular about skin and hair care and she believed in home remedies.

Janhavi revealed that her mom believed that anything that you can eat, you can put in your hair and on your skin. So she uses many edible things like eggs, fenugreek, bear etc. in her hair and these things make her hair healthy, shiny and long. She went on to reveal that her mother gave a lot of importance to regular oiling in hair. So she used to prepare an oil at home using amla, some dried hibiscus flowers, curry leaves and some other dried herbs and she used to apply this hair oil on her daughter’s hair every three days. She always massaged their hair well with this home made hair oil.

According to Janhavi, for good skin, her mother had made it a rule to eat fruits for breakfast and there was a second rule that whatever fruit that got left in the plate will go on their faces. So they would mash those fruits or make a pulp and then apply it on their face- be it papaya, banana, berries etc. This was an amazing rule by the way, because fruits are full of antioxidants and when you put these antioxidants rich fruits on your face daily, your skin is bound to shine!
