How to take care of your hair in the cold wave?
Winters are a time where the natural moisture of your skin and scalp goes for a toss and even the ones with beautiful skin start seeing something going wrong with both their skin and their hair! There are innumerable creams and moisturisers available for your face but the hair aren’t that lucky! Even after keeping your hair covered, you can observe the quality of your hair diminishing fast in the harsh winter months and when it is a cold wave your area is facing, things become quite rough and literally so! Here we give you some simple tips to take care of your hair during the cold wave.
1 Less shampooing – What winter actually does to your hair is sucking the moisture out of its strands so if you are one of those people who love to shampoo their hair regularly, it is time to practice control. Do not shampoo your hair quite frequently because it will deprive it more of its moisture.
2 Conditioner is your best friend – In summers you can miss the conditioning post shampooing part but in winters, conditioners are your best friends. Never leave your hair without applying conditioner post shampooing otherwise you may start losing hair earlier than you think.
3 Regular oiling – Yes we know it is age old but this is why it is effective. Regularly oil your hair preferably thrice or twice a week and if you think you can manage, you can keep the oil on your hair for a day or two. This will make an oil barrier for your hair and save it from damage caused by cold winds.
4 Say no or at least minimize heat styling – As such your hair is losing moisture because of the cold atmosphere, so if you are heat styling your hair, you are making them drier and more brittle. So when the winters are at their peak or there is a strong cold wave, try to skip the heat styling part.
Keep your head covered – Since the weather is chilly, you already have your beanies out of your trunks. So pull a beanie onto your hair and keep it hidden under it to safeguard it form chilly, drying moisture sucking winds.
