Fukrey 3 Movie Review : Leave Your Brain At Home!
The Fukrey franchise has a massive and loyal fan following and the lead actors of the film have a sort of cult following owing to their characters. Out of these all ‘Choocha’ played by Varun Sharma has been a fan favourite for the longest of time. The third installment of the movie starts from where the second one left. The theme and script is whacky as expected from this franchise but it isn’t enough fun this time. The humour is too much juvenile most of the times and you keep thinking “Wish I had forgotten my brain at home.” The comedy is good but still lags far behind the first two installments. If a poor script wasn’t enough, they have tried to create a social message through the film and this one falls flat because the film fails to establish it in a good way and the tone of the film does not really help it.
The performances are good and tolerable but the problem with sequels is that the characters become too repetitive and you kind of guess what is going to be their response or comeback. So the entire cast of the film has become quite predictable. The film talks about producing petrol from urine, sweat and other excrements of the body! Now what is that? It isn’t that the film is bad . All college going kids would love it, because they love the characters and they are not put off by the ‘crass’ things mostly.
So if you are college kid or a gang of goofy friends, then you will enjoy the film and the histrionics of the lead cast but if you are not then you may start pulling at your hair. In simple words, don’t go for it if juvenile senseless humour is not for you. Go for it if you are a college gang or school gang of kids wanting to have a good laugh at some of the silliest and predictable jokes. If it were up to us, we would give it a rating of 2.5 out of 5.
