1 Deepika says it is not wrong to indulge in unhealthy eating once in a while, the trick is to practice moderation.

2 For Deepika, being active does not just mean gym. She says you should pursue any activity of your choice in order to stay fit and active – be it dance, running, any kind of sport or martial art. The important part is staying active.

3 Deepika eats something every two hours. Once, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan had also commented that if someone saw her eating, they would wonder how she is so fit because she eats continuously but like a bird. That is she eats many times through the course of the day but the quantities she eats are very less.

4 She swears by water and fruit juices. According to Deepika, water, juices and fruits should be major part of your diet and snacks.

5 She believes in smart eating. Whenever she has a party to attend to where she knows there will be mouth-watering healthy snacks, she eats before leaving for the party so that she is not hungry at the party and does not indulge in guilty pleasure of eating the super appealing unhealthy food!

6 She does not believe in following fad diets because every body and every person is different. What works for one may not work for another. SO she stresses on following a healthy routine of eating.

7 Work to lose the extra weight immediately- According to Deepika, is she has put one one or two kgs, she starts working to reduce it almost instantaneously. SO one should not weight to mount their weight up to 10 kgs more than normal and then start working out. Start as soon as you see a weight gain because once the target becomes big, people lose motivation.

8 Deepika does not drink so when she is at parties, she likes to drink salted lime soda. But for those who drink, she suggests that red wine is good.
