Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are two of the most successful actors of present times and both of them are known for their penchant for pranks and fun antics on sets. Both Akshay and Ajay share a warm relationship and keep sharing banters with each other. Both of them started their careers in the year 1991 – Ajay with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ and Akshay with ‘Saugandh’. During an interview Akshay had revealed that ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ was supposed to be his debut film but Ajay snatched it away from his hands. He joked “Hum dono ne apna career saath mein hi shuru kiya tha. Aisa shuru kiya tha ki ek hi film ke liye dono lade the. Pehli film jo humari thi, Phool Aur Kaante, jisme pehle main tha phir mujhe dhakka maar ke isne liya.” (We both started our careers together. We, in fact, fought for the same film. I was originally cast in Phool Aur Kaante, but he pushed me out and got the film.)

Ajay Devgn who is a cool cucumber, cited a different story and revealed that when he was offered the film, he wasn’t even ready for it. His father had wanted him to be an actor and at that time he was pursuing his college degree. He revealed : “I would go to college till 11 am, and then work as an assistant director for the whole day. I was really enjoying life, making my own films. Suddenly, I came home one day, and Kuku Kohli (director of Phool Aur Kaante) was just sitting there with my dad. My dad always wanted me to be an actor. Kuku ji told me, ‘I want you to do a film for me.’ I was like, ‘Are you mad, I am just 18 years old, I am enjoying life.’ He insisted and said, ‘No, no, you are doing a film.” He didn’t even want to do the film initially but then went ahead with it and the rest as they say is history.

Finally it did not matter for us because we got both Akshay and Ajay as our favourite stars. So we are not complaining!

Indian films are now making films that cost between 500 crore and 1000 crore, and stars are charging huge amounts of money for their parts. A lot of stars these days, like Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, and others, charge Rs 100 crore or more as their fees. But do you know who was the first star to charge 100 crore rupees for a movie?

That’s right, the star who first charged Rs 100 crore per movie is from a movie family. People all over the world have been blown away by his comedic, emotional, and action roles in Bollywood movies. He is the same actor whose first pay was Rs 75. He is now one of the richest stars in Bollywood. That would be Salman Khan. The very first time he earned money was when one of his friends took him to a function where he performed with other boys as a background dancer. For this simple job he got a meagre salary of Rupees 75.

Talking about those days, Salman went on to discuss his remunerations through the years. He revealed : “My first salary was, I think, about Rs 75. I was dancing behind in some show in the Taj Hotel. One of my friends was dancing there so he took me (and I did it) just for fun. hen it went up to Rs 750 for Campa Cola (a soft drink brand) and then it was Rs 1,500 for the longest time. Then I got paid Rs 31,000 for Maine Pyar Kiya, which was then increased to Rs 75,000 later.”

There you have it. Salman was the first star to charge Rs 100 crore. The actor has been in a lot of hit films. In 2016, he was paid Rs 100 crore for Sultan, which starred Anushka Sharma. Then Salman made Rs 130 crore from Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017. These two films, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, were both made by YRF. According to reports, Salman also signed a deal to get 60 to 70 percent of the income made by these films.

Also, Shah Rukh Khan recently made Rs 120 crore for his hit movie Pathaan. Salman Khan also did well. It is also said that Aamir Khan charges between 100 and 150 crores for his pictures.Rajnikanth made Rs. 110 crore for his part in Nelson Dilipkumar’s film Jailer, and Kamal Haasan is said to make Rs. 150 crore per film as well. ‘Iqbal’ fame actor Shreyas Talpade aged 47 collapsed after completing the shooting for the day for his film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ where he stars along side Akshay Kumar. According to people present on the set, he was laughing and joking the entire day but after reaching home, he complained to his wife about feeling uneasy. He then collapsed and was immediately rushed to the Bellevue Hospital. The doctors at the hospital performed angioplasty and the update is that Shreyas is doing good and his condition is stable now.

The hospital said that the angioplasty took place around 10 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, and that he is doing fine now. They also said the surgery went well and the star is now stable. “He was admitted late at night, and the surgery took place around 10 pm.” “He is fine now and should be sent home in a few days,” the hospital said.

Talpade, who is 47 years old, is a well-known actress in Hindi and Marathi films. He became well-known for playing an athlete with special needs in the 2005 movie “Iqbal,” which also starred Naseeruddin Shah. Veteran actor Junior Mehmood, known for his comedic roles in films like Caravan, Haathi Mere Saathi, and Mera Naam Joker, passed away on December 8, 2023, after a long battle with stomach cancer. He was 67.

Mehmood, whose real name was Naeem Sayyed, began his career as a child artist in the 1960s. He went on to act in over 250 films in seven languages, earning a reputation for his versatile comic timing and infectious energy. He started working in films as a kid actor in the movie Naunihal, which also starred Sanjeev Kumar, Balraj Sahni, and Indrani Mukherjee.

The father of Junior Mehmood was an engine driver, and the family lived in the railway cottages. He was the third child out of six. He still had an older brother who worked as a photographer in the movie business.

Mehmood Ali, who had become Naeem Sayyed’s teacher, gave him the name Junior Mehmood.

People know the actor for his great work in well-known films like Caravan, Mera Naam Joker, Haathi Mere Saathi, and Kati Patang.

Junior Mehmood and Sachin Pilgaonkar were a well-known child artists team back in the day. They have worked together on projects like Brahmachari, Bachpan, and Geet Gaata Chal.

He has also been in films with Jeetendra, including Suhaag Raat, Caravan, and Sadaa Suhagan.

It was in his later years that the actor became a director and mostly worked on Marathi pictures.

A close friend of Junior Mehmood, Salam Kazi, told ANI that the actor had been sick for two months, but at first, the actor’s family thought it was nothing serious. After that His medical records showed that he had a tumour in his stomach and cancer in his liver and lungs. The doctors were sure it was cancer in its fourth stage. Johnny Lever, Jeetendra, and Sachin Pilgaonkar, some of his best friends in the business, came to see him in his last days. Junior Mehmood’s wife, two kids, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson will all miss him.
