It is situated at Dubai, in the United Arabs Emirates and is regraded as the Numero Uno of the tallest buildings. Its height from floor to tip is 829.8 m or 2,722 feet. It has 163 floors and 46 maintenance levels in the spire and 2 parking levels in the basement. Its floor area is 309,473 square meters or 3,331,100 square feet. Its architect is Adrain Smith at SOM. Its developer is Emaar Properties. Its structural engineer is Bill Baker at SOM. It has got observational deck on level 124. It has a fine dinning restaurant on level 122. It has 900 residencies and 37 office floors. It has Armani hotel with 160 guestrooms and suites it has 144 private residencies. It has a park whose area is 11 hectares. It has six water features and three thousand underground parking spaces. It has a four-story fitness and recreation annex.
The Shanghai Tower:
It is located at Lujiazui, Pudong in Shanghai. Its total height is 632 meters or 2,073 feet. It has 121 floors. Two floors are below ground. The total floor area is 380,000 square meters above grade and 170 square meters below grade. Its construction started on 29th November, 2008. And its estimated ccompletion time is the year 2015. Its construction cost is US$4.2 billion. Its architect is Gensler, the American architectural firm. An American-educated Chinese architect, Jun Xia is leading the design team. Its engineer is Thorton Tomasetti. Its main contractor is the Shanghai Construction Group.
Abraj Al-Bait Towers:
It is located at Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It has got hotels as well as residential in it. Its construction started in the year, 2004 and its opening was in the year 2012. Its total height is 601 meters or 1,972 feet. It has total 120 floors. The floor area of tower is 310,638 square meters. And the floor area of development is 1,575,815 square meters. Its architect is Dar Al-Handasah Architects. Its structural engineer is Dar Al-Handasah. Its main contractor is Saudi Binladin Group.
One World Trade Center:
It is located at 285, Fulton Street, Manhattan at New York in the United States. Its total height from floor to tip is 1,792 feet or 546.2 meters. It has 104 floors and 5 basement floors. Its floor area is 3,501,274 square feet. Its architect is David Childs (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill). Its developer is Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Its structural engineer is WSP Cantor Seinuk. And its main contractor is Tishman Construction.
