VR, Finland:
The country, Finland is clean, efficient and trouble-free, just like the state-owned VR group. While leaving Helsinki, VR is probably the best way to take in the countryside. The full form of AVE is Alta Velocidad Espanola. It is a service of high speed rail in Spain, which is operated by Renfe Operadora, the Spanish national railway company at speeds of up to 310 km/h or 193 mph. Alta Velocidad Espanola means “Spanish High Speed” in Spanish. And its initials, AVE also means “bird”. The Spanish AVE system is the longest HSR network in Europe with 3,100 km and the second in the world after China.
KTX, South Korea:
The Korea Train eXpress is a modern take on The Little Engine That Could. Its construction began on the high-speed line from Seoul to Busan in the year, 1992. KTX service were launched on April 1, 2004. KTX operates from Incheon International Airport with stops at Geomam Station, Seoul Station and Yongsan Station towards Busan and Gwangju.
Russian Railways, Russia:
This one comes into the top 10 railways list by its virtue of vastness and spread. One can sit on the train for almost 6,000 miles on the Trans-Siberian Railway. The Russian Railways was established by Decision No. 585 of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 18, 2003. On October 1, 2003 the company took over the management functions of rail networks from the Ministry of Railways of the Russian Federation (MR).
