The history of 3D projection technology :
The first 3d movie, ‘The Power of Love’ was produced in the year, 1922 and the first color 3d movie was produced in 1935. There was a sort of comeback of 3D technology during 1950s. TVs had become very popular during these times. A number of 3D movies were being created by 1950, but not all theaters were capable to show those 3D movies.A new technology called “ Space vision 3D” was introduced in 1960s. This technology, eliminated the need of two cameras to display 3D movies. ‘The Bubble’ was the first movie where this technology was introduced. Thereafter, A new 3D technology called Stereovision was developed in 1970 and ‘Stewardesses’ was the first movie to be released adopted this technology.
The new 3D projection technology:
In 3D space, very rich data visualization is explored. The new 3D projection technology was still needed substantial improvement. The use of 3d glasses often cause diming of images. Many people may suffer headache and nausea when they watch 3D movie for a long period. The amazing new 3d technology overcomes such problems. European researchers developed the new 3d technology, which can display 3d images at a full resolution of a monitor. It is without restriction on viewing angle and there is no darkening of the ambient light. In this technology, viewers experience much less strain on their eyes than other 3D technologies.
Holography
Holography is a technique in which , the three dimensional images or holograms, appears in front of the eyes of the viewers. It includes the use of laser interference, diffraction, and light intensity recording and suitable illumination of the recording. The projected image changes as and when the position and orientation of the viewing system changes in the same way as the object was still present. In this way it makes the image appear as three dimensional. Holographic recording consists of a random structure of either varying intensity, density or profile.
3D Holographic Projection technology
The 3D holographic projection technology is a latest and very unique “Hi- Definition Projection Technology”. In it, a person is captured in 3 dimensional aspects with a special high definition camera on a stage, specially built for it. It is projected ‘as it is’ at many locations at a time. At the other end, viewers feel that the person is really present in front of them and they can interact also, with the virtual person. No 3D glass is needed for the viewers as they can freely interact with the actual person.
